About me

My Therapeutic Approach:

For me, psychotherapy means looking at things together: at what feels heavy, but also at what carries and sustains you. It is important to me to create a safe and non-judgmental space where you feel seen, truly understood, and taken seriously – with all your themes, strengths, and challenges. Your self-determination and a trusting collaboration at eye level are at the center of my work. Together, we develop a therapeutic path that is tailored to your needs and life situation.

What personally moves me: I believe that change is possible – even when it may seem far away. That it can be a relief not to walk difficult paths alone. And that sometimes, genuine and caring connection can open up new perspectives.

If you feel it is time to make a change, I will gladly accompany you on this path. In our personal sessions, my dog Alma also supports the process as a gentle therapy assistant.

How I work

The foundation of my work is cognitive behavioral therapy, a scientifically recognized method for treating psychological distress. It is based on the idea that problematic thought and behavior patterns are learned over the course of life—and can be changed again with the right strategies. The focus is on current challenges, concrete solutions, and strengthening your sense of self-efficacy. The goal is to develop new perspectives and gain greater freedom of action in everyday life.

  • The foundation of my work is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a scientifically recognized method for the treatment of psychological difficulties. It is based on the idea that problematic patterns of thinking and behavior are learned over the course of life – and can also be changed with the right strategies. The focus is on current challenges, practical solutions, and strengthening your sense of self-efficacy. The goal is to develop new perspectives and gain greater flexibility in everyday life.

  • I also integrate modern, evidence-based methods of the so-called “third wave” of CBT.

  • A modern development of CBT, particularly effective for deeply rooted patterns such as self-doubt, relationship problems, or emotional instability.
“Schemas” are fundamental patterns of thinking and feeling, usually formed in childhood, that strongly influence our current experiences. They shape how we see ourselves, how we build relationships, and how we cope with stress.
In schema therapy, we work with inner parts and use the so-called mode model to make old reaction patterns understandable and consciously changeable. The goal is to identify old patterns, develop new healthy strategies, and cultivate more self-compassion.

  • Instead of fighting against inner struggles, you learn to accept thoughts and feelings while focusing on actively creating a life guided by your values.

  • Through bilateral stimulation, the brain’s natural processing system is activated, supporting the integration of distressing memories and making inner relief possible. EMDR is primarily used for trauma-related disorders but has also shown good effectiveness with other psychological difficulties.

I support you in finding suitable ways to achieve your personal goals and overcome your challenges.
